Specialising in all things PC, tech and gaming, ‘By Gamers For Gamers’ (BGFG) digital publications have a global audience, with 85 million users in over 241 countries. Across their network of owned websites, readers have access to consumer buying advice through reviews, features, guides and more.

To capitalise upon an unparalleled depth of specialist knowledge gained as digital publishers in the gaming sector, BGFG took the decision to launch an agency arm of the business and brought me in to name and create the brand.

Sector, location and synchronicity.

The name has both relevance and synchronicity with the parent brand. Relevance, as it makes absolutely clear what the new company is, an Agency, and as it makes reference to both sector and location – for Gamers (GMR) and Greater Manchester (GMR). Synchronicity, as it can be abbreviated to a four-character acronym, AGMR, just as BGFG is.

Inspired by the physical environment.

Inspiration for the brand typography and colour palette was taken from BGFG’s physical environment. An energised space full of the latest technology, screens and gaming peripherals, the palette used can be seen throughout.
